Santa Claus Is Coming To Town... And Scaring Babies

Yeah, so this is the reason there is no picture of Megan and Santa. Both the girls were terrified of this ghoulish looking creature. And to all a goodnight.......Bah!

Laners Ready for Santa

Our baby is almost a year old. I can't believe it. This year literally flew by for me. I love this baby so much. I am so blessed to have her.
Gavin actually smiled and told Santa what he wanted for Christmas. This boy is still sweet.
Grandpa played Santa at the ward Christmas party this year, too bad the kids knew.

Our Angel

Kenzie got to play the angel in our ward's nativity this year. Isn't she adorable? Now if I could get her to act like an angel, that would be a miracle.

My cutie pies

Man, these kids are cute.
My babies and me.

On Their Way

We sadly say goodbye to Misty, Sara, and Jon. They got accepted into the nursing program up in Modesto and have to leave almost immediately. We will miss you guys but are happy for you. Good luck.
We had our Christmas Eve early with the family, so here is grandma and the kids. We tried to get them to smile and look at the camera. A for effort.
Aren't they ridiculously good looking?

Love At Home

One morning I came downstairs and this is what I found. My 9yr old was cuddling Laney. It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. These are the moments I love being a mother.

Sweet Megs

I just thought this was a sweet picture. She was loving on her baby and asked my to take a picture of them together. Of course, I abliged.
Although it's been two months, I've gotta give props to our friends Jared and Jen. They came over on Halloween, brought crazy good chili, super scary treats and candy galore. The Jareds' had a great time terrorizing unsuspecting trick-or-treaters. Jen and I took the kids around the block. As you can see, she came dressed to impress. The kids loved her. It was so much fun. Thanks guys. Can't wait until next Halloween!!!!

Hardly anyone knew who the kids were for Halloween. Doesn't anyone watch movies?

Mommy's Baby Is Growing Too Fast!

Laney is 9 months old! In the last few months she has cut teeth, started crawling, standing up and even cruising around the furniture. I will miss her being so cute and little. I wish this stage lasted a little bit longer. Pretty soon she'll be saying "no" and pretending she doesn't hear me when I talk. Then, the tantrums, and the "I hate you mommy" or "you ruined my life". I can't wait for that. Why can't we just skip the 2's? That would be heaven.

What a good little puppy!

I think Gavin was tickled that Laney enjoyed the popscicle so much. Every time he tried to have a lick, she screamed and clapped her hands. I think Laney got most of it. Gavin gets kudos for sharing.

Popscicles and Little Sisters

Gavin absolutely adores this little baby, even enough to share his beloved popscicle.

That's more like it!

Megan is adorable when she wants to be. She said to me last week, "Mommy, you take Mei Mei's picture?" How could I say no?

All Attitude Girl

This little girl is definately a firecracker. One minute she is happy, the next, well, you can see for yourself...

Kenzie and Kettle

After Kettle got all cleaned up, Kenzie and I went outside to play catch with him. He loved being with Kenzie. I think she enjoyed it too.

A New Doggie Do

My friend Jayme groomed Kettle this last week. He looks like a new dog. He is actually cute. Thanks Jayme for making him look like a dog again, instead of a bear!!

My Apron

I totally fell in love with these fabrics. So this is my finished, adult sized apron. The colors are so cute together. I love to express how I'm feeling through the crafts I do. My favorite colors brown, aqua, and green. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was even able to add a little extra with my new sewing machine.

Megs is so cute and all ready to get floured and sugared in this apron.

Anyone want to bake?

This is the apron I made today for little Megs. It turned out cute.

Mommy Sews Megs a Dress

My first attempt at sewing a dress with pockets and a zipper, and it actually fit Megan and looked cute. I'm super excited that I finished something! Have you ever been in a sewing mood? Well, this is what that looks like.
I even sewed on pockets. I was seriously proud of myself. It didn't look terrible, and I was not very optomistic at the beginning of the project.

Dad McEwan got me a new sewing machine, so I've been trying out all the fun stitches it has. I love the stars! Thanks a million dad.

Trying something new

Ok, so nobody laugh, but I taught myself how to make fondant. I really wanted to learn a new technique for frosting birthday cakes. This was my first attempt. Next time it will be prettier, but it tasted great!

14 Years and Counting

On August 12th, Jared and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. It was low key. We just went out to dinner and enjoyed being alone together. (that doesn't happen often!!) I'm glad I found such a wonderful man to share my life with, and to be the father of my beautiful children. I'm blessed!

1st Day of School

Gavin and Kenzie couldn't wait for school to start. I admit I was ready for them to go back as well. I can't believe how grown-up Kenzie looks. My babies are getting big.

Megan finds a friend

Megan fell in love with my aunt's little teacup poodle Cabbie! They were so cute together. That little dog was just the right size for Megs.

Pool time

Over the summer we went to great-grandma's house. The kids loved getting in the pool. They were having a blast!

She's on the move

Laney started crawling in August. We can't keep up with her now. She's fast.

Laney's First Teeth

In July, Laney got 2 teeth on the same day. Right on babygirl. Yes, I'm still breastfeeding. Ouch!!!

We Have A New Arrival!!!!

Gavin and his cousin Donny were outside today playing when suddenly they ran inside screaming. I thought someone had poked out their eye or something. They were elated to tell me that one of our baby hummingbirds hatched this morning. This is the coolest thing ever. I hope the other one hatches soon. Amazing!!

Mama Bird

This is our mama hummingbird sitting on her nest. She is very attentive to her eggs. If we go out in the backyard, she will fly around her nest until we leave. It has been hard to keep the kids away from her. They are all so excited to see the new babies arrive.

We Have a Hummingbird Nest

The eggs are as big as jelly bellys. Jared went out to water our tomato plants, and this little nest was in the plant. We saw the mother a short time later. How cool!!

Getting Ready For The Recital Of The Year

Kenzie and mommy took great care in preparing her for her recital. Of course hair and makeup were key components in the process. This is the cutest girl I've ever seen. Work it girl!!!

Strike A Pose

Her first pose of the night. Kenzie was showing me her ending pose.

Star Wars

In a galaxy far away, lived a princess who loved to dance. Her name was Kenzie. She piroetted through the star system with grace and poise........

La Bamba

Kenzie learned some traditional Mexican dancing. Plus purple is definately her color.

Just Dance

Kenzie in all her 80's glory. She is the cutest thing ever. I think I had this very outfit at one time. She's bringing 80's back.

Material Girls

Madison, Kenzie, Audrey, Christina, and Kirra danced to "Beat It" by Michael Jackson. It was a full-on rumble. It really brought back memories of watching MTV. I saw that video when I was 7 and I've been moonwalking ever since.

Cute pirates

Kenzie is in the back row, second from the right. This was a cute dance where the girls had fun drinking rum and swabbing decks. Just kidding. It was cute, though.

"Land of Confusion"

This piece was inspired by the song Land of Confusion by Phil Collins. Kenzie is second from the left. She danced her little heart out that night. I mean she left it all out on that dance floor. Way to go Kenzie!!!!

My four babies

I never thought I would have four kids, but I am so blessed with these beautiful children. I love being their mother. It is a joy to watch them grow.

Megs so cute!

This was just too cute, I had to post this pic.

Way to go Gavin!

Gavin was chosen as Ranger of the Month at his school. His teacher, Mrs. Falkner, had some nice things to say about him. She said that he loves to use big words and always has interesting information to share. He helps the other children learn and sets a good example. He is interested in many subjects including numbers, animals, countries, patterns, and big words. What a funny kid. We are so proud of you Gavin.

Bon Voyage, Grandpa

The night before grandpa left for his trip to Utah, we took this picture. He has kids crawling all over him. Lucky grandpa.....lucky kids!!!!
