My Girl is a Tween! When Did that Happen?

Kenzie is so grown up. I can't believe how beautiful she has become. I love watching her grow and develop her own ideas and style. She is such a great daughter...and so, so cute! I sure do love this girl.

Kenzie: A Double Digit The Big 10!

Pedicures All Around

We celebrated Kenzie's 10th birthday by having some friends over and painting toenails. Everyone had a great time.
Kenzie decided on pink and purple cupcakes instead of a regular cake. I thought that was a great idea!

She Did It!

Megan asked me to make her a pink cake with pink candles. She was so excited!!! She kept asking me if I had bought the candles yet. I assured her that it was handled. I did get the candles and she was happy.

Time To Blow Out Those Candles

Happy Birthday Mei Mei!!!

My girl is 3 years old now. Megs is getting so big. We had a family party for her and invited Jared, Jen and Kim. It was a lot of fun.

Happy 8th Birthday Gavin!

Gavin turned 8 on Sunday, Feb. 28th. He had a blast eating cake and spending time with his family. I'm so glad he's part of our family. I love that boy so much!!!

Gavin and his Man friend

These two are more alike than they care to acknowledge. Our friend Jared and Gavin both have a mischevious nature about them. Can you see it in thier eyes?
Jen was a sport and held Laney while I took care of documenting Gavin's birthday. They were great to come hang out at the crazy house for a while. Thanks guys. We love you.

R.I.P. Lilly

We were watching a friend's dog this weekend and somehow the dog got into the rabbit's cage. There was a struggle, and in the end Lilly had a broken neck. We had to put her down, but not before Kenzie asked us to take a picture of her and her beloved rabbit. As a parent, your heart aches for your child when something like this happens. Kenzie was very upset, but she realized that the dog was just being a dog. Lilly is buried next to Gavin's frog out in the backyard. Although sad, it's a necessary event in our lives. We need to teach our children that they will experience loss sometime in their lives, but that you deal with your feelings and move on. Needless to say, Kenzie bares no ill will toward the dog and even cuddled with her on the couch after the incident.

My sister and me

I found these two in the kitchen. They were cuddling and laughing. It was so cute, and for those of you who have multiple toddlers, it was a rare occurance.

Is Organic Better?

I tried out an organic produce co-op with a friend. I got 17 types of food for $22. I think it was worth it. the produce was local and really fresh. It was pretty cool and tasty.
